The Arts Alliance of Yamhill County (AAYC) as its name implies is an alliance of artists from all the Arts and those who support the Arts joining together to encourage, stimulate and promote the Arts in our beautiful County.  Membership and volunteer run nonprofit the Arts Alliance mission is to create a thriving creative Arts community. AAYC provides resources and support to emerging and established artists, as well as hosting events and workshops that promote creativity.

The AAYC sponsors and coordinates a variety of arts activities that distinguish our part of Oregon. Our art events include the Art Harvest Studio Tour, the Lavender Festival Plein-Air Paint-Out and Art Show, and Paper Gardens.

  • The Art Harvest studio tour is a self-guided tour of local artists’ studios, the weekends of Sept 30-Oct 2 & Oct 7-9, 2022.
  • The Lavender Festival Plein-Air Paint-Out and art show is in July, and features artists painting outdoors in Yamhill County.
  • Paper Gardens is an annual writing contest for both children and adults, culminating in a published book and celebration each May.

These events and many more, bring visitors to our area, support local artists, and showcase the beauty of our region.

The AAYC also has programs for funding arts education in our county. This year, as in the past, we were proud to offer grants and scholarships to support art programs and teachers in our public schools, as well as students pursuing arts-related postsecondary education. Our grants and scholarships are designed to help ensure that students have access to the quality arts education, regardless of their family’s income level. We believe that the arts play a critical role in developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for beauty and culture.

We are committed to promoting local artists, galleries, theaters, and events happening in our county. Our social media platforms and website are great outlets for spreading the word. In addition, our sponsored Arts Alive TV show features local talent and highlights what’s happening artistically in our community.

In conclusion, AAYC is a great organization that is active in promoting the arts. We are always looking for volunteers to join us, and we are also here to help sponsor other art-related events. If you’re interested in getting involved, please visit our website, or contact us directly.
